"The Whole World Is Medicine
What Is The Illness?"
BRENDA SHOSHANNA, PH.D.
Sacred Psychology, The Foundations of Spiritual Counseling, is an introduction to the Principles and Practices of Spiritual Counseling.
The course is offered both Online and in person.
Combining psychological and spiritual understanding, we look at the role of a Spiritual Counselor, how it differs from that of a therapist.
As we explore the essence of a healing relationship, we also look deeply at the true causes of suffering. What is it that needs to be healed? How does healing happen?
As Martin Buber asked, "What does a person truly need when they are in great pain, and go to another?"
This work is based upon Eastern and Western psychology and philosophy, Martin Buber, and timeless wisdom of all scriptures.
Information, tools and skills are provided, along with exercises so that the student can integrate the material into their practice.
Some topics include:
- Who is the Healer?
- What Needs To Be Healed?
- Natural Healing Activities,
- The Power of Meditation, Forgiveness and Prayer,
- Relationships As Spiritual Practice
- True Conversation.
The Course focuses upon what is required to help another open to the wisdom, love and strength within.
